Chairman Message

                                                              Mr. Aditya Yadav

                                            Chairman, District Co-operative Bank Etawah

Dear Friends,

The Co-operative movement plays a vital role in the agricultural development of our nation. Co-operatives have consistently contributed to the social and economic progress of India. With 68% of our population residing in rural areas, it is widely acknowledged that co-operative credit institutions are the most effective channels for agricultural finance. Our agricultural credit system is structured in three tiers: at the apex is the State Co-operative Bank, followed by District Co-operative Banks, and at the grassroots level, Co-operative Societies serving the needs of local farmers and communities.

Even in today’s globalized world, where developed nations face financial instability and are scaling back public expenditure, Co-operative societies offer a beacon of hope. As governments reduce their role in social welfare, citizens feel growing insecurity. In this uncertain environment, Co-operative Societies stand out as sustainable, dependable institutions that protect long-term community interests. They offer resilience and support, particularly in rural areas.

District Co-operative Bank Etawah stands as a shining example of this strength. Since its inception, the bank has maintained consistent profitability while staying committed to its mission. The bank has played an essential role in improving the financial conditions of landless farmers, rural artisans, small and marginal farmers, and other economically weaker sections. It has actively contributed to raising their standard of living through inclusive financial services.

With the integration of modern, technology-based banking services, we have successfully addressed the evolving needs of our customers. All our branches are now equipped with advanced computerized systems to deliver seamless and efficient services. Our ongoing mission is to bring such digital advancements to the heart of co-operative agricultural credit societies.

In collaboration with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), our goal this year is to provide financial support to 296 Co-operative Societies. This initiative will empower our farmers to access funds directly from their societies, improving convenience and efficiency.

We are also proud to introduce a new web portal designed to serve as an informative and interactive platform for our customers. This portal represents a step towards strengthening the connection between the bank and its members through transparent and accessible digital communication.

We sincerely hope this initiative will deepen our engagement with our customers and further our shared goal of rural prosperity.

Thank you.
